These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of eduja.org and the EduJA learning platform (together, the "Service"), operated by Ohana Jamaica Limited, trading as EduJA ("EduJA", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Jamaica (registration #104023), based at 41 Barnett Street, Montego Bay, St James, Jamaica. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
EduJA is built for students in Grades 7 through 12, their parents/guardians, and teachers. If you're under the age required to legally agree to these Terms on your own in your location, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account, and by doing so agrees to these Terms on the student's behalf. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
Lessons, practice questions, graphics, the EduJA name and logo, and other original material on the Service belong to Ohana Jamaica Limited or our licensors, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use this content for your own learning (or, for a teacher, teaching) while your account is active — not to republish, resell, or distribute it elsewhere.
Some practice questions are drafted with the help of an AI assistant to help our question bank grow faster; every AI-drafted question is reviewed, and edited if needed, by a qualified human teacher before it's ever shown to a student. See our Privacy Policy for more on how this works and what data is (and isn't) involved.
Anything you submit through the Service — an assignment, a chat message, a support request — remains yours, but you give us the license we need to store, display, and process it as part of providing the Service to you (for example, showing your submitted assignment to your assigned teacher).
If you use EduJA's referral program, any bonus or reward is subject to the qualification rules shown at the time (for example, a referred account must remain active for a minimum period). We may adjust referral terms going forward, and may withhold or reverse a reward we reasonably believe was earned fraudulently.
The Service relies on third-party providers — including Supabase, Netlify, PayPal, Daily.co, and Google Analytics — to operate. We're not responsible for outages or issues originating from these providers, though we'll work to minimize their impact on you. See our Privacy Policy for the full list and what each is used for.
EduJA is provided "as is." While we work hard to keep lessons accurate and the Service reliable, we don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will result in any particular academic outcome, exam result, or grade. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ohana Jamaica Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD $100 if you haven't paid us anything, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
You can stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time — see our Delete My Account page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or discontinue all or part of the Service with reasonable notice where practical.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. This doesn't remove any consumer-protection rights you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, as EduJA adds new features. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do, and for significant changes we'll make a reasonable effort to let registered users know. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
